Jn 3, 16-21<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El texto evang\u00e9lico del d\u00eda de hoy lo hemos visto a lo largo del a\u00f1o lit\u00fargico, tambi\u00e9n en tiempo de cuaresma. Es un texto que podemos llamar cl\u00e1sico; y por supuesto central en el evangelio de Juan. En especial la expresi\u00f3n: \u201ctanto am\u00f3 Dios al mundo que le entreg\u00f3 a su Hijo \u00fanico\u201d. Jes\u00fas est\u00e1 en di\u00e1logo con Nicodemo. No est\u00e1 dirigi\u00e9ndose al pueblo como en los diversos discursos de Jes\u00fas, que Juan ofrece en su evangelio. Jes\u00fas est\u00e1 hablando con mayor intimidad, y con posibilidad de hacerse entender mejor. Nicodemo ten\u00eda una cierta preparaci\u00f3n religiosa, y era un buscado. (No uno de los cr\u00edticos que se enfrentaban a Jes\u00fas porque su predicaci\u00f3n atentaba contra su manera de entender la religi\u00f3n y\u2026organizar su vida).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por eso la contundencia y el enorme alcance de esa afirmaci\u00f3n.  Ese mundo, que Juan presenta en otros lugares que tiene como pr\u00edncipe a Sat\u00e1n, ha sido amado por Dios. Tanto que les entrega al Hijo \u00fanico. Lo entrega para que hagan con \u00e9l lo que quieran. Y ya sabemos lo que hicieron; a pesar de que Jes\u00fas no vino a condenar al mundo, sino a salvarle. Ese mundo rechaz\u00f3 la salvaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y el texto da la raz\u00f3n del rechazo. Quienes le rechazaron no quisieron abrirse a la luz. Prefirieron quedar en las tinieblas, porque en \u201clas tinieblas\u201d la vida les era m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil\u2026; y pod\u00edan mantener sus privilegios en la sociedad, sobre todo religiosa. \u00c9stas, dice el texto, les impidieron abrirse a la luz. Fue una decisi\u00f3n autodefensiva: \u201cno quer\u00edan ser acusados por sus obras\u201d, algo que suceder\u00eda si se abrieran a la luz. \u201cCuando se obra en contra de lo que se piensa, se acaba pensando c\u00f3mo se obra\u201d. Es un conocido mecanismo de defensa, la autojustificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 concluir\u00edamos para nuestras vidas?:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 1\u00ba \u00bfSomos capaces de, a imitaci\u00f3n de Dios, amar a nuestro mundo, y no pasarnos la vida conden\u00e1ndole -\u201cel mundo est\u00e1 perdido\u201d- y s\u00ed haciendo lo que de nuestra parte est\u00e9 para \u201csalvarlo\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
