Primero, porque conoc\u00eda lo que hab\u00eda en sus corazones: <em>\u201cquer\u00edan ponerlo a prueba\u201d;<\/em> y segundo porque sab\u00eda que aunque obrase una \u201cse\u00f1al\u201d no creer\u00edan en \u00c9l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a1Cu\u00e1ntos milagros ya hab\u00eda hecho: curaciones, multiplicaci\u00f3n de panes, caminar sobre las aguas&#8230;! Y encima, ped\u00edan una se\u00f1al del cielo. Eran tardos de coraz\u00f3n, su soberbia les cegaba, la vanidad les entorpec\u00eda y el ego\u00edsmo les estorbaba para reconocer en \u00c9l al Mes\u00edas, al Hijo de Dios. Jes\u00fas ten\u00eda como se\u00f1al la cruz y la fuerza del amor. \u00a1Pobres hombres! El momento de gracia se les fue cuando Jes\u00fas se fue a la orilla opuesta&#8230; Posiblemente, desde entonces, su coraz\u00f3n qued\u00f3 insatisfecho, marchito&#8230; \u00a1S\u00f3lo por no creer en Jes\u00fas con una fe viva y sencilla! \u00a1Dichosos los que creen sin haber visto! Esto era lo que m\u00e1s le dol\u00eda a Cristo. Ven\u00eda a los suyos y no le recib\u00edan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tal vez hoy, muchos hombres piden \u201cse\u00f1ales\u201d a Dios para creer. Pero Dios tiene sus caminos. La cruz de Cristo sigue pesando en los hombros de todos los hombres y en particular en los de todos los cristianos. Unos la abrazan con fe y amor y son felices; otros quieren un Cristo sin cruz, hecho a la medida de sus comodidades y placeres, le gritan que si baja de la cruz creer\u00e1n&#8230; Pero no existe ese Cristo.
